SARSILMAZ showcased more than 300 products, developed and manufactured with domestic and national resources, to visitors at TEKNOFEST İzmir. The festival, held at Çiğli Airport between September 27 and October 1, featured locally produced firearms designed primarily for Security Forces, along with next-generation weapon systems developed in partnership with the Turkish defense industry.
Among the highlights were the SAR 2023 pistol, specially produced in limited numbers to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic, the SAR 15T integrated armed drone Songar, and the SAR 556 light machine gun. Products from TR Mekatronik —a joint venture between SARSILMAZ and Turkish Aerospace (TUSAŞ)— such as the triple-barrel 20 mm nose gun and the 12.7 mm HÜRKUŞ wing-mounted weapon pod, also drew great attention from visitors. The nose gun, in particular, fills a critical gap in the defense sector with its integration into the T-129 ATAK helicopter and its firing rate of 750 rounds per minute.
In addition to its product showcase, SARSILMAZ offered visitors an exciting experience at TEKNOFEST İzmir. Through a simulation that digitally recreated real-life conditions, distances, and details, visitors had the chance to enjoy ultra-realistic shooting experiences with SAR9 SC, SAR9 SP, and SAR9 CX pistols, the SAR 109T submachine gun, and the SAR 56 infantry rifle.
