Sarsılmaz participated in the Nuremberg Hunting, Shooting, and Firearms Fair (IWA Outdoor Classics 2024) immediately following the Enforce Tac Fair, also held in Nuremberg, Germany.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, IWA Outdoor Classics is one of the world’s most established fairs, bringing together the most renowned manufacturers and suppliers in the hunting and shooting sports industry to showcase the latest products and trends. At the fair, Sarsılmaz set up a prominent booth to present its domestically produced “local and national” firearms to international distributors and participants in hunting and shooting sports.
The company’s exhibited infantry rifles and steel-framed pistols, along with the SAR9 series—Turkey’s award-winning domestic pistol development project—attracted significant attention.
“Sarsılmaz promotes our country through fairs”
Sarsılmaz Deputy General Manager Öner Özyılmaz stated that at IWA Outdoor Classics 2024, they presented hunting and sporting rifles, semi-automatic infantry rifles, and pistols. He added: “Germany is a major manufacturer and a very strong nation with longstanding production capabilities. But we Turks are now catching up to European states. As Sarsılmaz, we produce products as high-quality as Germany’s leading manufacturers, and we present them on one of the largest booths to both European and global customers, which makes us proud.”
Özyılmaz emphasized that participating in these fairs allows Sarsılmaz to showcase both its products and its country. He noted that the quality, functionality, and diversity of the products were highly appreciated by customers. He also highlighted that Sarsılmaz continuously updates its products based on feedback from the Turkish Armed Forces before reintroducing them to the market.
“Our future vision includes unmanned weapon systems on land platforms”
While investing in conventional weapons, Özyılmaz said that Sarsılmaz is also investing in platform systems. “Our future vision is to extend Turkey’s achievements in unmanned weapon systems from aviation to land platforms. For this purpose, we continue to develop SARBOT, which had its first launch at IDEF. We are working on various optional attachments for SARBOT. Sarsılmaz operates with a forward-looking vision, and we will see these products in the coming years,” he added.
