Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi, one of the most established companies in the Turkish defense industry with a history of 142 years, made a strong impression at two of the world’s leading defense exhibitions. Participating in the 30th International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Poland and the 4th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2022) in Baku, Sarsılmaz attracted significant attention with its domestically developed and manufactured firearms.
Making its debut at MSPO, held from September 6 to 9, Sarsılmaz showcased its 56 models of pistols, infantry rifles, and machine guns to leading international actors in the defense industry. MSPO, recognized for enabling manufacturers from different continents to connect and present military equipment comprehensively to target audiences, stands out as a premier international defense exhibition.
Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar visited the Sarsılmaz stand at MSPO, together with Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak, personally reviewing the firearms produced with national resources.
Simultaneously, Sarsılmaz participated in ADEX 2022, held for the fourth time in Baku, Azerbaijan. The exhibition featured major defense companies operating across land, air, and naval systems, heavy and light equipment, and electronic warfare systems. Sarsılmaz presented 64 models, ranging from pistols to submachine guns, and from infantry rifles to light and heavy machine guns. The stand also hosted B2B meetings and offered opportunities to engage with over 150 high-level representatives from more than 30 international military delegations, fostering new relationships and potential partnerships.
Commenting on ADEX, Latif Aral Aliş, Chairman of Sarsılmaz Silah Sanayi, stated:
"Turkey’s oldest firearms manufacturer, Sarsılmaz, has exported to more than 80 countries and provides products used by the armed forces and law enforcement of 23 countries. With the ability to supply all types of weapons needed by a military unit, our company is recognized among the world’s leading defense manufacturers."
At the Baku exhibition, Sarsılmaz products drew strong interest from visitors, with the SAR9 pistol attracting particular attention. Recently, a specially engraved SAR9 was gifted to Azerbaijan President Haydar Aliyev by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during the opening of Rize-Artvin Airport. The engravings, including “Karabağ Fatihi” and “Two States, One Nation,” captured widespread interest.
Officials including Turkey’s Trade Counselor to Baku Ahmet Erdal, Communications Counselor Hüseyin Altınalan, Interior Affairs Counselor Mustafa Çakır, and Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Prof. Dr. Vilayat Valiyev, alongside other state representatives, also visited the Sarsılmaz stand to examine the exhibited products.
