SARSILMAZ Showcases Its Integrated Defence Ecosystem at EFES-2026

SARSILMAZ, one of Türkiye’s leading defence industry companies, participated in Exercise EFES-2026, one of the Turkish Armed Forces’ largest scheduled military exercises, with its next-generation defence systems and integrated solution capabilities. Systems developed by SARSILMAZ and its group companies attracted attention both in the exhibition area and during operational scenarios conducted in the field.

At EFES-2026, SARSILMAZ presented a broad product portfolio ranging from pistols and infantry rifles to remotely controlled weapon systems, unmanned ground vehicles, counter-UAS solutions, machine guns and medium-calibre cannon systems.

Combining its long-established manufacturing experience with advanced engineering capabilities, SARSILMAZ demonstrated not only its individual products, but also an integrated defence approach capable of addressing the diverse requirements of the modern battlespace. Systems developed together with its group companies formed a multi-layered defence ecosystem covering firepower for ground forces, close-range defence, platform integration, unmanned systems and counter-drone capabilities.

The products displayed throughout the exercise reflected SARSILMAZ’s robust engineering and manufacturing infrastructure, which enables the company to develop under one roof weapon and system solutions across the different operational levels required by a military force.

The portfolio extended from individual- and unit-level solutions, including pistols, infantry rifles and machine guns, to remotely controlled weapon systems, gun pods, turret systems, unmanned ground vehicles and multi-barrel cannon systems. This broad range once again demonstrated the company’s extensive capabilities across multiple domains of defence technology.

During EFES-2026, SARSILMAZ and its group companies showcased systems ranging from pistol platforms and machine guns to counter-UAS solutions, unmanned ground systems, remotely controlled weapon systems and medium-calibre cannon systems.

Key products included the SAR9 SP Special pistol, SAR Drone Killer, SAR 556 MT machine gun, the latest version of SARBOT, the retractable remotely controlled weapon system developed by BEST Defence, the 25 mm and 30 mm cannon systems developed by TR Mekatronik, and the three-barrel nose cannon used on the T129 ATAK attack helicopter.

Developed by SARSILMAZ and its group companies, these systems provide advanced technological solutions for a broad spectrum of missions, from close-range defence and platform armament to unmanned ground operations and counter-UAS missions.

Through these capabilities, SARSILMAZ demonstrated that its operational contribution extends beyond its established position in pistol and infantry-rifle platforms to include advanced defence systems that can be integrated onto a wide range of land and aerial platforms.

Held in İzmir from 16 to 21 May 2026, Exercise EFES-2026 was designed to enhance the combat readiness of units participating in combined and joint operations. The exercise brought together the Ministry of National Defence, elements of the Turkish Armed Forces, public institutions and participants from a total of 45 countries. A Defence Industry Exhibition was also organised under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries.

Continuing to expand its influence within the defence industry through advanced solutions developed for national and international markets, SARSILMAZ brought Türkiye’s defence engineering capabilities into the field through the systems displayed at EFES-2026.

Through the integrated structure established with its group companies, SARSILMAZ demonstrated a strategic defence ecosystem capable of delivering the multi-layered solutions required by modern armed forces under a single organisational umbrella.
