SARSILMAZ’s armed robot project, SARBOT, developed by its newly established company focused on robotic weapon systems, drew significant attention at Teknofest.
In addition, SARSILMAZ showcased its domestically produced 20mm cannon, designed for ATAK helicopters, and 12.7mm machine guns integrated into Hürkuş aircraft.
Held from April 27 to May 1 at Atatürk Airport, the Teknofest Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival saw SARSILMAZ, one of the longstanding names in Turkish defense industry with over a century of history, present a wide range of more than 300 products developed and produced with local and national resources.
Among the highlights were the 3-barrel 20mm nose cannon for the T-129 ATAK helicopter, capable of firing 750 rounds per minute, forming a key component of Turkey’s electromechanical firepower, and the SAR 127 MT AIR, providing airborne fire support at 900–1250 rounds per minute.
Simulated Shooting Experience at Teknofest
Under the slogan “On land, at sea, and in the air,” SARSILMAZ, with its capacity to produce weapons and ammunition covering all calibers needed by a military unit, offered visitors an immersive experience. The ultra-realistic simulation replicated the company’s open-air test polygon digitally, allowing participants to test SAR9 SC, SAR9 SP, SAR9 CX pistols, SAR 109T submachine gun, and SAR 56 infantry rifle in a virtual environment.
