Sarsılmaz takes its expertise in semi-automatic pistol design one step further with the SAR9 GEN2. This new member of the SAR9 family includes innovations such as a lightened trigger, a slot on the slide that allows the use of the red dot sights, and a detachable slot cover. These features, which offer different options to the user, make it possible to shoot with the classic sight and front sight set, as well as the use of optical sights. Having an ergonomic and aesthetic design, the SAR9 Gen2 trigger is manufactured from high-strength 7075 T6 series aluminum, which is also used in aviation industry. In the GEN2 version of the SAR9, the magazine capacity has also been increased to 19 rounds.
