SARSILMAZ, one of Türkiye’s leading defence industry companies, has achieved another significant milestone in the United States, one of the world’s most competitive security and defence markets. The Doral Police Department in Miami-Dade County, Florida, has added SARSILMAZ’s SAR 109T submachine gun to its operational inventory while also launching a test and evaluation programme covering the SAR9 Gen 3 Frontline series.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between SARSILMAZ and Spain-based EM&E Group establishes a new framework for cooperation between the Turkish and Spanish defence industries. The agreement carries strategic significance in terms of systems integration, joint production, technology sharing and value-added export objectives.

Bringing together nearly 150 years of engineering heritage with next-generation defense technologies, SARSILMAZ welcomed members of the press to its integrated manufacturing facility in Düzce. Ahead of SAHA EXPO 2026, the Company is preparing to showcase its end-to-end defense ecosystem—spanning firearms, ammunition, robotic platforms, remote controlled weapon systems, and advanced manufacturing capabilities—together with its group companies.

At the exhibition, the company will showcase its machine guns, infantry rifles and next-generation pistols developed for law-enforcement, military and homeland security applications.

The SAR 127 MT heavy machine gun, part of SARSILMAZ’s extensive product portfolio, has been selected for integration into Türkiye’s ALTAY Main Battle Tank. Having successfully completed its qualification programme and entered service across various defence projects, the system is now ready for operational deployment aboard the ALTAY platform.
